Comedic actor Harvey Korman was born on Feb. 15, 1927. Best known as a regular cast member on The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1978, he was nominated for six Emmys for his work on that show. Korman died in 2008.
In one of Korman’s recurring characters on The Carol Burnett Show, he appeared in drag as a Jewish mother with an enormous bosom. Below, in this sketch that spoofs soap operas, he is “Mother Marcus, Canoga Falls’s leading yenta and chicken soup pusher.” (Korman appears at 06:43.)
