December 20 is Go Caroling Day. And here is Carol Brady, singing a carol. She’s singing “O Come All Ye Faithful”—in bed, which gives it a whole new meaning. Joyful and triumphant indeed. Then she is magically transported to church, still singing.
The Brady Bunch, “The Voice of Christmas” (1969)
Of course, Brady Bunch fans know the backstory: Carol is supposed to sing in church on Christmas but comes down with laryngitis. Cindy tells a department store Santa Claus that what she wants for Christmas is for her mother to regain her voice. And Santa makes it happen! I hope his bosses at Sears gave him a raise.
