January 4 is Hypnotism Day.

Remember the time Lucy got hypnotized on The Lucy Show? Celebrity hypnotist Pat Collins, known as the “hip hypnotist” (and she certainly does look hip), hypnotizes Lucy and Mr. Mooney as part of a stage act. She has them imitating washing machines, coffee pots, and Laurel and Hardy. She even gets Mr. Mooney to do a cartwheel. Collins’s show starts at the 10:17 mark.
