November 27 is Pins and Needles Day.
The original intent of Pins and Needles Day was to commemorate the opening of the play Pins and Needles on Broadway on this day in 1937. The pro-labor play had a cast and crew from the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Now people consider the day to be about being “on pins and needles” with anticipation.
This song about drug addiction has nothing to do with Pins and Needles Day—but it does have the word “needle” it.
